Between San Pedro de Macorís and La Romana, the Playa Nueva Romana residential community adds a new dining and leisure option: Onno's Beach Club, which officially opened on January 16, 2026 with tacos, fresh bites and signature cocktails, with your feet in the sand.

A residential community with its own beach

Playa Nueva Romana is a development in the Grupo Piñero portfolio, a leading international name in the tourism and hotel sector. It spans more than 1,500 acres along the Caribbean Sea, with about 1.5 miles of white sand beach and palm trees. It is about 20 minutes from La Romana airport, 45 minutes from Santo Domingo and one hour from Punta Cana.

The complex includes golf courses, a shopping center, sports areas, extensive green spaces and 24-hour security.

The beach club

The beach club offers an infinity pool, direct beach access, a restaurant and a bar, with table and cabana service. It is a family-oriented space with sea views and an atmosphere of music and celebrations.

Visitors praise the views and the staff's attention. There are also comments about shallow water with algae in some areas, typical of a landscaped beach, so water shoes are recommended. Weekdays tend to be quieter.
